6 1/2 roast, boneless |
2 large onions |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
1/3 cup soy sauce |
1/3 cup cider vinegar |
2 bay leaves |
2 -3 garlic cloves, minced |
1 teaspoon grated ginger |
1 cup julienne cut carrot |
2 cups sliced mushrooms |
2 -3 cups fresh spinach leaves or 20 ounces frozen spinach, defrosted |
2 tablespoons cornstarch |
Directions:
1. 1 place meat, topped with onions in slow cooker. 2. 2 combine brown sugar, ginger, garlic, soy sauce and vinegar. pour over vinegar. 3. 3 cover. Cook on high 6-7 hours. 4. 4 spread carrots, mushroom and spinach over beef. 5. 5 cover. Cook on high 20 minutes. 6. 6 mix cornstarch with 1/2 cup broth from slow cooker. 7. 7 cover. Cook 10 minutes more. 8. 8 serve over rice. |
