This is too easy-an emergency meal - keep pork (better thawed, if frozen need to add extra time for cooking) and posole in freezer and put in the crockpot and then dinner is done when the game is over - just add seasoning and dinner is done! Can't get any easier than this! Adapted from local newspaper Ingredients:
1/2 lb pork stew meat, cubed |
1 lb frozen posole |
salt |
pepper |
marjoram |
2 teaspoons chili powder |
1 teaspoon cumin, ground |
8 cups water (less for a thicker soup) |
red chili sauce (or salsa) |
sour cream (optional) |
Directions:
1. Place pork and posole in crockpot. 2. Add water and spices. 3. Cook on low for 4 hours. 4. Top with sour cream and salsa. |
