My Portuguese friend use to make coffee for us but all I actually saw was that she whipped it before serving. I went hunting for her recipe which was very strong and also sweet. I found this one by Joao Luis Vieira Leitao....I do think this is IT! So very simple and quick too! Ingredients:
1 teaspoon instant coffee |
1 teaspoon sugar |
hot water |
Directions:
1. Into a mug, place the coffee and sugar. Mix in a couple of drops of tepid water and stir until the mixture looks like black cake dough. Keep mixing until it turns white, or yellow, then fill with boiling water.
2. By oxygenating the coffee, you end up with a creamy yellow drink with foam on top.
