2 lbs pork steak |
3 tablespoons oil |
3 -4 cloves fresh minced garlic |
1 envelope french brown gravy mix (about 1/4 cup) |
3/4 cup water |
1/4 cup honey |
3 tablespoons soy sauce |
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar |
1 teaspoon ground ginger powder |
salt and pepper |
4 carrots, thinly sliced |
1 medium onion, cut in wedges |
1 green pepper, cut in 1 inch squares |
Directions:
1. Cut the pork in 1 squares; brown in a large skillet, stirring frequently (about 15 minutes). 2. Add in the fresh garlic 3 minutes before the 15 minutes is up, stir with the pork. 3. In a bowl, combine gravy mix, water, honey, soy sauce, vinegar, ginger, salt and pepper. 4. Add to skillet; cover and simmer for about 20 minutes. 5. Add in carrots, cook 10 minutes. 6. Add in onion and green pepper, cook for another 5-10 minutes. 7. Serve up with rice. |
