Pork Chops With Sauteed Apples and Sauerkraut |

5 Weight Watchers points per serving. This recipe is core. You could use slices of porkloin instead of pork chops just adjust the cooking time. Ingredients:
4 1/4 lbs center-cut pork chops |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
2 teaspoons safflower oil |
3 golden delicious apples, peeled, cored and cut into 1/4 slices |
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 cup bagged sauerkraut, well drained |
1/2 teaspoon caraway seed |
Directions:
1. Sprinkle pork chops with 1/4 tsp salt and 1/8 tsp pepper. 2. Heat 1 teaspoon of oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium high heat. 3. Add pork and cook until browned and cooked through, 3-4 minutes on each side. 4. Transfer to a plate and keep warm. 5. Heat remaining oil in skillet. 6. Add apples and cinnamon. 7. Cook, stirring occasionally, until apples begin to brown, 3-4 minutes. Add sauerkraut, caraway seeds and remaining salt and pepper. Cook 2-3 minutes. 8. Serve with pork. |
