A fall favorite! From a local hospital cookbook my mom gave me. Ingredients:
4 cups sliced apples |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
1/4 cup white sugar |
2 tablespoons flour |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg |
4 pork chops |
1 egg |
1 tablespoon water |
shake-n-bake for pork |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 300°F. 2. Slice apples. 3. Mix apples with sugars, flour, and spices in a baking dish. 4. Dip pork chops in egg and water mixture. 5. Coat with Shake 'n Bake. 6. Lay pork chops over the apples. 7. Bake covered at 300 degrees for 2 1/2-3 hours. |
