I can't recall where I got this recipe but I've had it for years. These moist, tender and flavorful pork chops have a good barbequey flavor and are excellent with a baked potato and corn. Ingredients:
4 pork loin chops |
2 tablespoons vegetable oil |
1/2 cup water |
2 tablespoons brown sugar |
2 tablespoons chopped onions |
1 beef bouillon cubes or 1 teaspoon instant beef bouillon |
2 tablespoons catsup |
1 garlic clove, minced |
2 tablespoons flour |
1/4 cup water |
1/2 cup sour cream |
Directions:
1. In a large skillet, brown the pork chops in the oil. Add 1/2 cup water, brown sugar, onion, catsup, garlic and beef bouillon. Cover and simmer for approximately 40 minutes or until meat thermometer reaches 160 degrees. Remove chops. 2. In a small bowl, combine flour with 1/4 cup water. Slowly add to cooking liquid, stirring constantly. Cook until thickened. 3. Stir in sour cream. Heat thoroughly but DO NOT boil. 4. Serve sauce over chops. |
