I found this recipe in with some new cookware. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons honey mustard |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup maple syrup, divided |
4 pork loin chops (about 3/4-inch thick) |
1 cup prepared chunky applesauce |
1 cup pecan halves, broken into large chunks |
2 tablespoons apple brandy (french is best) |
Directions:
1. In a small bowl, combine the mustard, pepper, salt, and 2 tsp syrup. 2. Brush over both sides of the pork chops. 3. Brown pork in a non-stick skillet over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes per side, or until done to your liking. 4. Add apple sauce. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes or until meat is tender. 5. Remove chops and keep warm. 6. In a small frying pan, add pecans, remaining syrup, and apple brandy. Cook on high heat for 1 to 2 minutes or until hot and bubbly. 7. Pour sauce over pork and serve immediately. |
