A simple and tastey recipe with ground beef and rice meatballs in spaghetti sauce recipe. Ingredients:
1 tablespoon margarine |
1 small onion, chopped |
1 garlic clove, minced |
1 lb ground beef |
1 cup minute white rice, uncooked |
1 egg, lightly beaten |
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
1 (15 1/2 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce |
Directions:
1. MELT margarine in small skillet on medium high heat. 2. Add onion; cook and stir until tender. 3. Add garlic; cook and stir 30 seconds. 4. ADD onion mixture to combined meat, rice, egg and seasonings in large bowl. 5. Add 1/4 cup water; mix until well blended. 6. Shape into 30 meatballs. 7. MIX spaghetti sauce and 1/2 cup water in skillet. 8. Bring to boil; add meatballs. 9. Return to boil. 10. Reduce heat to low; cover. 11. Simmer 15 minutes or until meatballs are cooked through. |
