Simplest recipe EVER! Easy to stretch and OUT of THIS WORLD! Filling, cheap, but most important delicous! I could eat this at least 3 days a week. This was a depression meal that was made because it was cheap. I never saw my Grandfather eat a SINGLE green vegetable, but baked beans were on the table at EVERY dinner. Ingredients:
2 lbs ground beef (your choice of fat content) |
1 small onion, finely chopped |
2 (15 ounce) cans baked beans (your choice of flavor) |
kaiser roll |
butter |
maple syrup |
ketchup |
mustard |
Directions:
1. Brown hamburger in frying pan with finely chopped onion. (My preference is to drain, but not mandatory). 2. Add baked beans; stir until beans are heated. 3. You can add syrup/ketchup/mustard to the beans if you like. 4. Salt and pepper to taste. (My grandfather was heavy on pepper.). 5. Serve with Kaiser Roll with butter and ENJOY! |
