My husband had this cake at work & loved it so much, he got the recipe. Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
4 eggs, separated |
1 cup sour cream |
1 (1 1/4 ounce) can poppy seeds |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
2 cups flour, plain |
Directions:
1. Sift flour, salt & soda together set aside. 2. Cream butter & sugar. 3. Add egg yolks. 4. Add sour cream. 5. Add poppyseeds. 6. Add flour,salt & soda. 7. Beat egg whites til stiff. 8. Gently fold in egg whites. 9. Bake 1 hour at 300ยบ in bunt pan. |
