Popeyes Superbowl Spinach Dip |

Another spinach dip recipe but this one uses canned spinach vs. frozen spinach. Great dip to make for your Superbowl Party friends! Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted |
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour |
1 (6oz) roll jalapeno cheese, softened |
3/4 teaspoon celery salt |
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
2 cans ( 13.5 oz each ) leaf or chopped spinach |
2 tablespoons chopped onion |
1/2 cup evaporated milk |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
3/4 teaspoon garlic salt |
dash of red pepper |
*optional* fresh or canned mushrooms |
Directions:
1. Drain canned spinach well, reserving 1/2 cup liquid. Set aside 2. Combine butter, onion, and flour in a pan 3. Stir well and cook for about one minute 4. Gradually add reserved spinach liquid and evaporated milk, cook until slighlty thickened, stirring constantly. 5. Remove from heat 6. Add cheese and seasonings to sauce, stirring until cheese is melted. 7. Add drained spinach and optional mushrooms, mixing well 8. Dip may be frozen. Thaw and heat before serving. 9. *Suggestion* 10.
