POPCORN GRANOLA SNACK This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Quinn Estate in Arlington, Texas in 1991. Ingredients:
8 cups popped popcorn |
1 cup old fashioned oats |
3/4 cup cashews |
1/2 cup each shredded coconut |
1/2 cup raisins |
1/3 cup sesame seeds |
1/3 cup unsalted sunflower seeds |
3/4 cup honey |
3/4 cup vegetable oil |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 300. 2. Combine all dry ingredients in roasting or jellyroll pan. 3. Heat honey and oil in small saucepan over medium heat until honey melts about 8 minutes. 4. Remove from heat then stir in vanilla and pour over popcorn mixture and toss to coat. 5. Bake 1 hour stirring every 15 minutes then cool completely and store in airtight containers. |
