I made these for a Valentine's Day bake sale and they were the first to go! The recipe was given to me by a friend. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter |
3 cups brown sugar |
1 cup karo syrup |
1 (14 ounce) can eagle brand sweetened condensed milk |
1 tablespoon vanilla |
4 -6 quarts popped corn |
Directions:
1. bring to boil butter, sugar, syrup. 2. add condensed milk- boil 5 minute. 3. remove from heat and add vanilla. 4. strain seeds from popcorn. 5. pour hot mixture over popcorn and mix. 6. grease hands and make balls out of mixture. 7. *extra note; 8. To remove the seeds, I usually take two bowls and lift out the popcorn by the hand fulls and shaking it, then dumping it into the extra bowl. When I get to the bottom, there lies most of the seeds. I just discard them and go on with the rest. 9. Hope you can visualize that and that it helps! |
