A simple basic tomato sauce that my grandmother always makes. Ingredients:
29 ounces tomato sauce |
1/2 yellow onion, finely chopped |
3 tablespoons olive oil |
salt & pepper |
fresh basil leaf |
Directions:
1. Sautee onions in olive oil until lightly browned. 2. Turn temperature to medium and add can of tomato sauce. 3. Add salt and pepper. 4. Bring to a boil, then bring temperature to low. 5. Cook over low for 45min to 1 hours. 6. Add fresh basil leaves before serving. 7. (serve over a pasta of your choice). |
