POMEGRANATE WHIP This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Renner Estate in Mesquite, Texas in 1996. Ingredients:
3 cups pomegranate juice |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
6 tablespoons sugar |
1/2 cup uncooked regular cream of wheat |
Directions:
1. In saucepan bring juices to boil over medium heat. 2. When boiling slowly sprinkle in sugar then stirring briskly slowly add cream of wheat. 3. Reduce heat and simmer stirring occasionally until thickened approximately 8 minutes. 4. When mixture is thick transfer to a large bowl and beat with electric mixer at high speed for 10 minutes. 5. Pour into serving bowl or individual dishes. |
