YUMMMMMYYYY!!! This is called a potato salad, but as you will find out once you make it, that it is a satisfying main dish. Full of flavor with sausages, potatoes and onions, this is truely different and delicious! Read more !! Ingredients:
8 to 10 small red potatoes |
2 fresh bratwurst links |
1 fresh kielbasa or polish sausage link |
2 tbsp. butter or margarine |
5 tsp. sugar |
4 tsp. all-purpose flour |
1 tsp. salt |
1 tsp. ground mustard |
1/2 tsp. celery seed |
3/4 cup chicken broth |
1/3 cup cider or white wine vinegar |
1 small red onion, sliced |
1/2 cup sliced celery |
1/4 cup minced fresh parsley |
Directions:
1. Cook potatoes just until tender; drain and let cool. 2. Peel and slice potatoes; set aside. 3. In a large skillet, cook sausages until no longer pink, remove and cut into 1/4 slices; set aside. 4. Add butter, sugar, flour, salt, mustard and celery seed to the skillet; cook and stir over medium heat until hot and bubby. 5. Gradually add broth and vinegar; bring to a boil. 6. Cook and stir until thickened. 7. Gently stir in onion, celery, parsley, potatoes and sausage; heat through. 8. Serve immediately |
