POCKET STEW This is a recipe I obtained from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Jennet Estate in Allen, Texas in 1983. Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef |
3 small potatoes |
3 large carrots |
3 small onions |
1 can cream of mushroom soup |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper |
Directions:
1. Divide beef into three equal portions and form into patties then place each on a large square of foil. 2. Into each packet slice 1 potato and 1 onion and chunk 1 carrot. 3. Top with undiluted soup, salt and pepper. 4. Seal packets well and cook on coals one hour. |
