                    simple and good. Ingredients: 
                    
                        
                                                1/4 cup lemon juice  |  
                                                1 cup water  |  
                                                8 pears  |  
                                                apple juice  |  
                                                1/4 cup grenadine  |  
                                                1 dash cinnamon  |  
                                                
                     
                    Directions: 
                    
                        
                            
                                1. Combine the lemon juice and water. 2. Quarter, core and peel the pears, dipping them in lemon juice mixture as you go, to prevent browning. 3. Place them in a crockpot and cover with apple juice. 4. Add the grenadine and a sprinkle of cinnamon. 5. Cook on the low setting for about 1 1/2 hours, or until tender.                              |
