Plum Gratin

A variety of fruits could be subbed here.
Ingredients:
8 plums, stoned, quartered
2 tablespoons sugar
40 g butter
1/2 cup caster sugar
2 tablespoons plain flour
3/4 cup almond meal
4 egg whites
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 180 C.
2. Place plums in 24 cm pie plate.
3. Sprinkle with sugar, top with butter.
4. Now make the gratin.
5. Place caster sugar, almond meal and flour in a bowl.
6. Stir to combine.
7. Whisk egg whites until soft peaks form.
8. Fold them through flour mixture.
9. Spread topping over plums.
10. Bake 30 minutes till golden.
