A real Christmas pudding that requires a pudding cloth. Made slighter easier by using self-raising flour. Ingredients:
2 cups self-raising flour |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
1/2 cup white sugar |
2 tablespoons golden syrup |
2 teaspoons mixed spice |
1 1/2 cups mixed fruit |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1 cup chopped vegetable suet (eg kremelta) |
milk, to mix |
Directions:
1. Take a strong cloth and dip in boiling water, then dust cloth thickly with self raising flour and put mixture in cloth and tie securely. 2. Boil for 3 hours. |
