Got this one yrs ago from my mother-in-law. It's a good old fashion Texan sheet cake. It's quick easy to make and serves a crowd. Ingredients:
2 sticks oleo |
4 tbsp cocoa |
1 cup water |
2 cups sugar |
2 eggs |
1 tsp soda |
2 cups flour |
1/2 tsp salt |
1/2 cup sour cream |
icing: 1 stick oleo |
6 tbsp milk |
1 tsp vanilla |
4 tbsp cocoa |
4 cups powdered sugar |
1 cup nuts |
Directions:
1. Melt the 2 sticks oleo, cocoa and water together.
2. Add the next 6 ingredients. Mix.
3. Pour into a 12 x 18 baking pan.
4. Bake 20 to 25 minutes.
5. Mix the icing ingredients together; add more milk IF necessary. Spread on the cooled cake.
