yummy puffed naan bread lovely with any curry Ingredients:
1/2 teaspoon dried yeast |
125 ml warm milk, skimmed |
125 grams whole wheat flour |
125 grams white flour |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon sugar |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
1 tablespoon sunflower oil |
2 tablespoon yoghurt, greek style |
Directions:
1. put all dry ingredients into a bowl mix well add milk oil and yoghurt and knead ingredients together to form a very elastic soft dough, knead for 10 minutes on a floured surface then place in a bowl cover and leave for 10 minutes to rest and prove. Once bread has sweel and proved well, knead and form into four pieces pull and shape into tear shapes place on a greased baking sheet and cook under a hot preheated grill and cook for 2 - 3 minutes each side or untill puffed and brown. serve warm with your favourite curry |
