Deliciously simple and simply delicious. Ingredients:
2 medium pita breads (about 6 inches) |
2 tomatoes, sliced |
4 cloves garlic, minced |
1 bunch fresh basil |
8 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil |
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese |
Directions:
1. Separate each pita into two. 2. Spread 1 garlic clove onto each pita round. 3. Arrange 4-6 basil leaves over garlic. 4. Top with 3 slices of tomatoes. 5. Sprinkle about 2 tablespoons of shredded cheese on each and drizzle 2 teaspoons of olive oil on each. 6. Bake on cookie sheet in 400-degree oven for about 15 minutes or until cheese melts and pizzas are bubbly. 7. Serve immediately. |
