This is a delicious, easy appetizer to make. It tastes a bit like a pizza and uses puff pastry. When we made them in the fall for family they were gone very quickly. Ingredients:
1/2 small red pepper, finely chopped |
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley |
2 tbsp chopped fresh oregano |
100 grams of chopped ham or salami |
1/2 cup ( 60 grams) grated cheddar cheese |
1/4 cup of tomato paste |
2 sheets ready rolled puff pastry, thawed |
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. 2. Combine the red peppers, parsley, oregano, ham and cheese in a bowl. 3. Spread the tomato paste onto each sheet of pastry, leaving a 2 inch border along one side. 4. Sprinkled the red pepper mixture over the top. 5. Roll up the pastry to enclose the filling, leaving the plain edge until last. 6. Brush the edge lightly with water and fold over to seal. 7. Cut each roll into 2 inch rounds and place onto a greased cookie sheet. 8. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. |
