Turkey Meatballs with mozzarella cheese and pepperoni. Ingredients:
1 lb ground turkey |
16 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese |
8 ounces thin sliced pepperoni |
2 medium eggs |
3/4 cup regular breadcrumbs or 3/4 cup italian seasoned breadcrumbs |
1/2 teaspoon basil |
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt |
favorite spaghetti sauce |
Directions:
1. Cut pepperoni into small pieces. 2. Combine turkey, pepperoni, eggs, breadcrumbs, basil and garlic salt. Mix well with hands. 3. Flatten out small pieces of the mixture and place a fingerful of mozzarella cheese into the center. 4. Roll into balls, keeping the cheese in the center. 5. Place finished balls into 9' x 9' square metal or glass pan. 6. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 20 minutes, turning meatballs once at halfway point. 7. Cover with favorite sauce, bake an additional 10-15 minutes. Top with leftover mozzarella if desired. |
