Really tastes like pizza! Can be adapted for your family's preferences. Ingredients:
4 ounces sliced mushrooms |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
1 teaspoon oil |
1 teaspoon italian seasoning |
1 teaspoon oregano |
2 cups water |
15 ounces pizza sauce |
1 cup chopped pepperoni |
1/2 cup cooked italian sausage or 1/2 cup hamburger |
1/4 cup parmesan cheese |
mozzarella cheese, shredded, for sprinkling |
Directions:
1. In a large saucepan, sautéed mushrooms and onion in oil for 2-3 minutes. 2. Add rest of ingredients. 3. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. 4. Before serving, stir in Parmesan. 5. Garnish with mozzarella. 6. *Can use crocks, cook on low for 3-4 hours. Just brown the meat and dump everything in the crockpot. I've added leftover meat and spaghettie sauce to stretch the recipe*. |
