This sauce is a copycat of Papa Johns. I use tomato paste for cost. This recipe makes enough for 6 pizzas. I freeze the rest in 1 1/4 cup servings in Ziploc bags. WWPP - 1 Ingredients:
24 ounces tomato paste |
6 cups water |
1/4 cup sugar |
1/4 cup olive oil |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
1 tablespoon salt |
1 tablespoon oregano |
1 1/2 teaspoons basil |
1 1/2 teaspoons thyme |
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder |
Directions:
1. Combine ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat.
2. Bring to a boil.
3. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
