Ingredients:
1 large onion, chopped |
4 garlic cloves, minced |
2 tablespoons olive oil |
1 (28-ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained |
1 tablespoon dried italian seasoning |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Saute onion and garlic in hot oil in a large skillet over medium heat 10 minutes or until tender. 2. Process tomatoes in a blender or food processor until smooth; stir into onion mixture. Add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally; cool. Process in a blender, in batches, until smooth. |
