We had used a can of pizza sauce every Friday night (Pizza Night), until one Friday about a year a ago when we realized that we were fresh out! We came up with this and are sooo glad that we did! It tastes so much fresher than the sauce you get from a can! Note: Yield is a guess. Ingredients:
2 (14 ounce) cans diced tomatoes |
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce |
1 (6 ounce) tomato paste |
3 teaspoons oregano |
1 1/2 teaspoons basil |
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
3 -4 tablespoons tomato ketchup |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in food processor until desired consistency. |
