My guys loved it. Ingredients:
3/4 lb ground beef |
1 medium onion, chopped |
16 ounces tomato sauce |
1 teaspoon sugar |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/4 teaspoon oregano |
1 dash pepper |
2 cups cooked rice |
1/2 cup small curd cottage cheese |
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded |
Directions:
1. In large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat then drain. 2. Add the tomato sauce, sugar, salt, parsley, garlic powder, oregano and pepper. 3. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15 minutes. 4. Combine the rice and cottage cheese.Put 1/2 into a greased 11 x7 x2 baking dish. 5. Top with half of the meat mixture. Repeat layers. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. 6. Bake uncovered, at 325 degrees for 30-35 minutes until heated through and bubbly. |
