We make our own pizzas once a week and LOVE them! Sometimes we'll buy a plain frozen cheese pizza (Orv's is my favorite), other times we'll roll our own dough (usually Chef Boyardee or the generic version). In either case we pile on the spices and vegetables and sinfully indulge. They are a true delicacy in our minds' eyes. Our taste buds thank us with every bite! Ingredients:
16 ounces frozen cheese pizzas (thin crust) |
6 garlic cloves |
1 cup spinach |
1 carrot |
1 red pepper |
1 yellow pepper |
4 ounces mushrooms |
1/2 cup black olives |
1/4 teaspoon parsley |
14 teaspoons oregano |
1/4 teaspoon italian seasoning |
1 teaspoon basil |
Directions:
1. Thinly slice garlic, slice mushrooms, shred carrot, chop peppers and spinach, and slice olives. Apply spices to pizza, place mushrooms over pizza. Apply remaining vegetables and bake at 425 degrees for 10 - 12 minutes until crust is golden brown. Serve with additional pizza sauce for dipping if desired. Enjoy! |
