This classic pizza captures the colors of the Italian flag: red, white, and green. Ingredients:
2 teaspoons olive oil |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
1/4 cup thinly sliced fresh basil |
2 tablespoons chopped fresh oregano |
2 (10-inch) quick-and-easy pizza crusts |
cooking spray |
4 plum tomatoes, thinly sliced (about 1/2 pound) |
1 cup (4 ounces) shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese |
Directions:
1. Combine first three ingredients in a small bowl; set aside. 2. Combine basil and oregano in a small bowl; set aside. 3. Prepare grill. Place 1 crust on grill rack coated with cooking spray; grill 3 minutes or until puffy and golden. Turn crust, grill-mark side up; brush with half of oil mixture. Top with half of plum tomatoes, mozzarella, and herb mixture. Cook 4 to 5 minutes or until cheese melts and crust is lightly browned. Repeat with remaining crust and toppings. |
