An easy pizza dough which requires little or no rising time. Ingredients:
250g plain white flour |
10g dry ready to use yeast |
2 tsp sugar |
1 tsp salt |
35ml olive oil |
roughly 250ml of warm water |
Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to its highest temperature. 2. Mix all the dry ingredients together. 3. Add the water gradually until you form a soft but not wet dough (you may find that you need more or less water). 4. Add the olive oil and mix into dough. 5. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 5 minutes until soft and pliable. 6. At this point you can leave the dough for rising time if you wish, though this is optional. 7. Stretch the dough to fit your lightly oiled pizza tin. 8. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the base looks lightly golden. 9. Remove from oven and turn oven temperature down to 200C/400F/Gas mark 6. 10. Add your sauce and toppings then bake until cheese has melted. 11. I favour tuna and pineapple on mine - but that usually has most people screaming! |
