This is my standard pizza crust recipe. This has been adapted from a recipe found on . I usually prepare the dough the night before I plan to make the pizza and cold-proof in the refrigerator. Take it out a couple of hours before preparing. Can also be made in a breadmaker. Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups flour |
1 cup whole wheat flour |
9 ounces warm water |
1 tablespoon olive oil |
2 teaspoons yeast |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. In mixer, mix flour, water, yeast and salt until it forms a loose dough. Mix in oil until incorporated. Switch to dough hook and knead for 15 minutes. Forn dough into a ball and place in an oiled bowl covered by plastic wrap. Proof in refrigerator for 24 hours. |
