This biscotti goes with the pizza dip or can be eaten alone....Delicious and different. Savory Ingredients:
3 cups all purpose flour |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1 teaspoon kosher salt |
1/2 cup oil packed sun dried tomatoes, drained and finely chopped |
2 teaspoons dried oregano |
1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper |
3 large eggs |
1/2 cup water |
2 tablespoons oil oil |
Directions:
1. Combine first 6 ingredients in a large bowl, stirring well. 2. Combine 2 eggs, water, oil, stirring well. 3. Add to dry ingredients, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened. 4. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface; divide dough in half. 5. Shape each half into a 2 1/2 inch wide log. 6. Place logs on a greased baking sheet. 7. Beat remaining egg, and brush over log. 8. Bake at 359 degrees for 35 minutes; cool to touch. 9. With a sharp knife cut logs diaonally into 1/4 inch slices. 10. Bake slices at 350 degrees for 20 to 22 more minutes. 11. Transfer biscotti to a wire rack; cool completely. 12. Makes 2 dozen and will last up to 2 weeks. |
