Great little pizzas. Use this basic recipe and add, remove, modify with your favorite ingredients. Great for low-fat diets when you're craving some 'zaah! Ingredients:
2 whole wheat pita bread |
30 g reduced-fat mozzarella cheese |
1/2 cup pasta sauce (ragu, etc) |
1/4 cup chopped onion |
1/4 cup chopped green pepper |
50 g black forest ham (chopped) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400. 2. Spread pasta sauce evenly over both pitas. 3. Sprinkle with onion, green pepper and ham. 4. Cover with cheese. 5. Place on a cookie sheet or baking stone and bake for 10 minutes (or until cheese starts to brown). |
