Ingredients:
2 pita breads (6 diameter) |
2 teaspoons margarine |
2 teaspoons oregano |
4 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated |
Directions:
1. Preheat broiler. 2. Split pitas horizontally into 2 rounds. 3. Spread rough edges with margarine. 4. Place on cookie sheet. 5. In a small bowl, toss together oregano and Parmesan cheese. 6. Sprinkle over margarine. 7. Cut each bread into wedges. 8. Broil about 5 from heating element until crisp, about 2 minutes. 9. Watch carefully! 10. VARIATIONS: experiment with other herbs of your choice such as chives and parsley; or, omit oregano and sprinkle with sesame seeds. 11. Serve alone or with dips or pates. |
