I adapted the recipe from Pita Chips on so that I would have a single serving that meets the Weight Watchers daily oil requirement. One serving is 4 points. If I am not making more than one serving, I use my toaster oven and reduce the cooking time. (These are so good that I can't make myself stop eating them if I make more than one serving at a time!) Sometimes I tear the pita apart so that I end up with 16 chips instead of 8. Ingredients:
1 whole wheat pita bread |
2 teaspoons olive oil |
dried basil |
salt |
pepper |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. 2. Combine oil, basil, salt, and pepper. Brush onto pita. 3. Cut pita into eighths and place the slices on a cookie sheet. 4. Bake for about 7 minutes, or until lightly browned and crispy. |
