This is Annieamie's personal recipe for a side dish that blends rice and pistachios together in one pot. And this is my first recipe post so be nice please. Read more . This is great hot or at room temperature. [I like to add some extra butter before serving it. ] . Ingredients:
2 cups of long grain rice |
4 cups of chicken or vegetable stock |
1 cup of raw shelled pistachio nuts |
2 tb butter |
Directions:
1. Bring the stock to a boil and add the rice. 2. Once the liquid starts to boil again add the nuts and butter. 3. Cover the pot and simmer for 20 minutes. 4. Let the rice sit after removing it from heat for at 10-20 minutes and then serve it up! |
