This recipe goes with Alabama Chili Ingredients:
1/2 pound dried pinto beans |
1/4 pound salt pork |
1 medium onion, chopped |
1 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Sort and wash beans; place in a medium saucepan. Cover with water, and soak overnight. 2. Drain beans. Return beans to saucepan; add pork, onion, salt, and water to cover. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Cover and cook 30 minutes or until beans are tender. |
