I think this is the ideal desert for a dinner party - easy yet impressive! If you can't get Pinot Nero (also known as Pinot Noir), choose another red, young wine. It's also important to have ripe, firm peaches. Ingredients:
6 peaches |
1 bottle pinot nero wine |
2 lemons, zested |
6 tablespoons caster sugar |
Directions:
1. Halve the peaches and remove the stones. 2. Cut into thin slices. 3. Put the peaches in a deep bowl, sprinkle with the sugar and zested lemon and add the wine. 4. Cover with clingfilm and leave to marinate for an hour in a cool place. 5. Serve in wine glasses. |
