Pink And Pretty Cherry Cream |

This pink and pretty mold is smooth, creamy and not overly sweet. May garnish with a cherry sauce Ingredients:
2 envelopes of unflavored gelatin |
1 cup cold water |
2 tbs. fresh lemon juice |
1/4 cup sugar |
dash salt |
1, 21 oz can cherry pie filling |
1 pint cream for whipping |
2 tbs. amaretto liquor |
1/2 tsp almond extract |
1 to 2 tbs sugar |
Directions:
1. Soften gelatin in cold water in a saucepot. 2. Then stir constantly over low heat to dissolve gelatin. 3. Remove from heat. 4. Add sugar, salt and lemon juice and stir well. 5. Stir in cherry pie filling. 6. Chill in refrigerator until mixture begins to thicken slightly. 7. Whip cream with liquor, flavoring and sugar. 8. Fold into cherry mixture. 9. Pour into a 2 quart decorative mold of choice. 10. Chill until completely firm before unmolding. 11. Serves 10 to 12. 12. Serve plain or add some fruit topping or sauce of choice. |
