SO EASY!! I originally got the recipe from At Home with Arlene Williams ...after playing with it, my mom and I tweaked it and made it exactly how we like it! Everybody LOVES it, and it has become a staple with any holiday meal that we serve ham (and my favorite dish!). I usually add a little more sugar than the 1/2 cup called for, but the original recipe called for 1 cup and it was WAY too sweet! :) Ingredients:
5 -6 slices white bread, cubed |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/2 cup butter, melted |
2 eggs, beaten |
1 (15 -20 ounce) can pineapple chunks, drained |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375. 2. Grease a 1 1/2 quart cassarole dish. 3. Combine and mix all ingredients thoroughly and place in baking dish. 4. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until golden brown. |
