I had this dish when I ate at a tea room years ago, and just recently found it in my recipe collection. If you like bread pudding, I think you might enjoy this. Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar |
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour |
3 eggs, lightly beaten |
1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, undrained |
1/2 cup butter |
8 plain croissants, torn into small pieces |
Directions:
1. Mix sugar and flour. 2. Beat in eggs. 3. Add pineapple and its juice. 4. Melt butter and toss with croissant pieces. 5. Add to pineapple mixture. 6. Mix well. 7. Place in greased 2-quart casserole dish. 8. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. |
