An easily prepared yet dramatic dessert!
Ingredients:
2 1/2 tablespoons butter
2 1/2 g brown sugar
20 ounces pineapple slices, drained
1 cup rum, warmed
Directions:
1. In a large skillet, cook the butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
2. Place the pineapple slices in the syrup in a single layer, reduce the heat to medium-low, and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, until browned on the first side.
3. Turn with a spatula and cook on the second side until the pineapple slices are soft and richly browned.
4. Invite your dinner guests to the kitchen.
5. Add warm rum and ignite with a long handled match.
6. Arrange on garnished dessert plates.
7. Enjoy!
