This recipe is from my husbands aunt. It is is a nice cake complimented with a cream cheese frosting. Ingredients:
2 cups sugar |
2 eggs |
2 cups flour |
1 cup walnuts (chopped) |
20 ounces crushed pineapple |
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon baking powder |
8 ounces cream cheese |
1/2 cup butter |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Mix together sugar and egg. 3. Add flour, walnuts, crushed pineapple, baking soda, baking powder. 4. Place thick batter in a 9x13 pan and bake for 30-40 minutes. 5. For frosting cream the cream cheese and butter, add vanilla and powder sugar. Frost cool cake. |
