I haven't tried this yet, but I am definitely going to keep this in mind when I want something sweet or fruity for dinner! :) Ingredients:
1/2 cup barbecue sauce |
1/2 cup orange juice |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
2 tablespoons vegetable oil |
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
4 cups cubed chicken |
2 (5 1/2 ounce) cans pineapple chunks, drained |
1 (8 ounce) can sliced water chestnuts, drained |
1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger |
Directions:
1. In a large saucepan, combine the first 6 ingredients until smooth. Bring to a boil. Then reduce heat and simmer for 2 minutes stirring occasionally. 2. Add the chicken, pineapple, water chestnuts, and ginger. 3. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Serve over rice or whatever side dish you'd like! |
