This side dish goes well with ham or pork. You can even use this as a dessert, serving warm with vanilla ice cream. Double this batch for larger parties for holidays, etc. Ingredients:
1/4 lb butter (let it soften) |
3/4 cup granulated sugar |
4 unbeated eggs |
1 medium can crushed pineapple (drained) |
5 slices bread (i use white) cut into 1 inch cubes |
Directions:
1. Cream butter with the sugar 2. Add 4 unbeaten eggs one at a time 3. Fold in the pineapple then the bread 4. Pour into greased casserole dish (put something under it to catch any juices that might overflow and get your oven yucky) 5. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees |
