Pineapple Beets

A super good side dish! Add 1 whole clove for an added zip.
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 (8 ounce) can pineapple tidbits, do not drain
1 (16 ounce) can sliced beets, drained
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Directions:
1. In saucepan, mix brown sugar, cornstarch, and salt.
2. Add pineapple and bring to a boil, stirring.
3. Boil and stir for 1 minute.
4. Add beets, butter, and lemon juice.
5. Cook on med for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
6. Serve warm.
